UCPN (M) is not after President or Prime Minister post: Dahal

Oct 4, 2015- UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his party will not claim for any posts in the new government.

Speaking at an interaction in Kathmandu on Sunday, Chairman Dahal said, “UCPN (M) is not after president or prime minister posts. We only want that constitution be revised and amended to establish the rights of all.”

Saying that the conspiracies are being hatched to divide the unity of three major parties, Chairman Dahal, also the former prime minister, stressed on the need to put together until the constitution was implemented. “The national unity is needed at least until the local and federal administrative structures were formed,” he said, hinting at the current polarisation seen among major parties on the formation of new government.

Chairman Dahal also mentioned that MJF-Loktantrik Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, who played a vital role in constitution drafting, should be brought on board the unity government.  The leader further stressed on addressing the valid demands of agitating Madhesi parties.the kathmandu post
