10:55 am as the most auspicious time for receiving Tika in this Dashain.

 

 


Oct 5, 2015- The Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti (Calendar Determination Committee) has determined 10:55 am as the most auspicious time for receiving Tika in this Dashain.
According to the Samiti, the auspicious time for Gatasthapana, the first day of the 10-day celebration, is at 11:25 am on October 13.

Chairperson of the committee, Prof Ramchandra Gautam, shared that 11:35 am on October 14 is the most auspicious time to replace the national flag with the new one at the government offices and Nepal Army's offices.

Similarly, the process of the Pachali Bhairab deity falls on October 18 and the Goddess Tulaja Bhawani at 10: 55 am on October 20, the day of Phulpati.
"No auspicious time is needed in the Phoolpati," argued Chairperson Gautam.
Likewise, Mahaastami has fallen on October 21 on Wednesday and the Kalratri would be performed on the same day, the Committee said.

"Mahanawami and Bijaya Dashami, the ninth and tenth day of the festival respectively, has fallen on the same day on October 22," informed Chairperson Gautam.

Gautam further said that the auspicious hour for immersing statues of goddesses is at 10: 45 am and for receiving Tika and Prasad at 10: 55 am on October 22, also known as Bijaya Dashami.
He clarified that though there was no necessary to determine the auspicious hour to receive Tika during Dashami to Prunima, it would be better to receive Tika at 10: 55 am during the period.
Also, auspicious hour for procession of Tulaja Bhawani and Khadgayatra have fallen at 11:01 am and at 11:55 am respectively on Bijaya Dashami.
Kojagrat Prunima, the last day of the festival, falls on October 26. This year Navaratri falls for eight nights and nine days, according to the Committee.ekantipur
